BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood has given fans a rare peek behind the scenes of the show in a new social media post.

The show’s resident weather presenter was live on-location from sunny Kew Gardens this morning as she revelled in the current sunshine.

Carol looked dazzling as she opted for a leopard-print dress for the day complete with a plunging neckline that showed off her tanned complexion.

She also kept her black sunglasses propped on her head as she delivered her report to the nation.

Before going live on-air, she opted to show off her current surroundings online as well as give her dedicated fans a look behind the scenes of filming her segments for the BBC’s morning offering.

She first shared a snapshot of some of the “beautiful” flowers at the exquisite gardens before showing off what it takes to bring the live broadcast all together.

Carol snapped a photo of her three crew members, including an image of the cameraman lugging his equipment down a track.

Tagging them in the post, she captioned it: “This morning‘s crew.”

One of Carol’s fans was quick to say: “What a fine team.”

Before another weather watcher added: “Looks like another scorcher.”

Carol’s out of studio appearance comes as Sally Nugent disappeared from screens for a third day running.

The TV presenter usually hosts the show Monday through Wednesday but so far has failed to appear at all this week.

For the third day running, fellow presenter Sarah Campbell took the reins alongside show regular Jon Kay.

Sarah has appeared on the show a number of times on a stand-in basis over the years and so far fans have been left praising her current stint.

Commenting on her presenting this morning, one viewer said: “Just a welcome change this morning and watched Sarah Campbell on BBC news this morning, nothing pretentious or fake about her.”

It comes as someone else said of the star: “Good morning Sarah, fantastic to see you back on the Salford sofa, the perfect tonic up here on Tyneside, enjoy another glorious Summer‘s day.”
