NETFLIX wants to keep Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd — with a near-£1million offer for new shows.
The streaming giant faces a £132million lawsuit from Fiona Harvey, believed to have inspired the hit show’s stalker Martha.

But despite the controversy, it is still believed to be keen to stop Scottish star Richard, 35, being snapped up by a rival broadcaster.
A TV insider said: “This is not a done deal, with both the streamer and Richard negotiating the details of a contract which would see him start work on a new show as soon as possible.
“The fact that it could end up being worth seven figures reflects just how much Netflix want to keep him ‘in house’ following the incredible response to Baby Reindeer.
“They are hoping they can come to an agreement that will see Richard produce a string of shows for them, which could prove just as successful and thought-provoking.”
Lawyers representing Netflix are defending a claim made by Ms Harvey, who says the black comedy — watched by 50million viewers globally — told “brutal lies” about her.
She is suing for defamation, negligence and privacy violations — claiming she was falsely depicted as a convicted criminal who spent time in prison for stalking.
The seven-parter, which first aired in April, tells the story of aspiring comedian Donny Dunn (played by Richard) who meets Martha while working in a North London pub.
Netflix declined to comment on any potential deal.
