HOT on the heels of Love Island 2024’s finale is a new series of telly’s raunchiest dating show Love Triangle, I can reveal.
A second season of the throuples fun and games on E4 is now in the works after the opening season won an army of passionate followers.

The show was said to have been inspired by the real-life three-way of former boxing champ David Haye, The Saturdays singer Una Healy and model Sian Osborne.
It follows unlucky-in-love singles who are matched with two potential partners in the hope of finding love.
They then pick one to move in with before, in a shock twist, the second arrives to join the love nest.
Viewers’ imagination
Producers are now casting for a second run, on the back of healthy ratings, and hoping the success will continue to build.
A TV source said: “Throuples is a buzz word in dating right now so the first season of Love Triangle caught viewers’ imagination, and produced explosive telly and some really raunchy moments.
“On a deeper level, the programme also dug into the huge spectrum of what love looks like these days — it’s not always the cookie-cutter boy-meets-girl story we see on the likes of Love Island.
“Producers hoped to reflect how dating in the real world isn’t always one size fits all, and both critics and viewers seemed to agree.
“Execs are now casting again and hope Channel 4 will snap up the series and air it later this year. Either way, they’re sure other broadcasters will be just as keen.”
A casting advert for the show reads: “In a world where online dating offers too much choice, are we letting true love slip through our fingers?
“Modern dating has turned into a shallow numbers game in which snap judgments are made, often based on nothing more than superficial selfies.

“Finding the quality amongst the quantity is harder than ever.
“In this alternative to swiping right, our pickers will take the bold step of sharing their lives with just two suitors, chosen by a dating expert.
“When given the time to make a proper connection, which one will ultimately win their heart?”
So, game on again.
NELL OF A BLOW FOR SAL
SHE had huge success with BBC drama Happy Valley and won awards left, right and centre.
But writer Sally Wainwright’s latest venture, on Disney+, has sadly been cancelled after just one run.

But despite fans’ positive reaction to the series, which also starred Adrian Lester, Nick Mohammed and Joely Richardson, it won’t return after the series delivered disappointing ratings.
It’s thought the show did not meet the threshold on a number of metrics to merit renewal.
Creator Sally is instead busy working on BBC drama Riot Women, which will follow a punk band formed by five females going through menopause.
CRIME drama Vienna Blood returns for its fourth run on BBC Two this Sunday, with Matthew Beard and Juergen Maurer back as crime-fighting duo Max Liebermann and DI Oskar Rheinhardt.
The series will this time feature a single tale, titled Mephisto Waltz, over two episodes.

Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, 99, recalls in The Last Musician of Auschwitz how prisoners composed secret pieces inside the brutal concentration camp, where she played in the orchestra.
The 90-minute documentary will also tell the stories of a classically trained pianist from Krakow, a composer from Paris, a choirmaster from Berlin and a singer-songwriter from Prague, who have now passed away.
It is expected to air on BBC Two to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.
The broadcaster’s Suzy Klein said: “The Last Musician of Auschwitz shows how music itself can testify both to what these musicians of the Holocaust endured – and how they tried to endure it.
“It’s a privilege to be bringing this very special music to a new audience.”
Creators are working on the project with Access Entertainment, the financial backers for Oscar-winning film The Zone Of Interest.
