TWO kids gatecrashed the D-Day celebrations to show the King and Queen their commemorative plates — and were then photographed by the French president.

Cheeky air cadet Toby Guy, 13, and sister Ellie Mae, seven, leapt into action in Normandy yesterday.

The plucky kids also made sure they snapped a picture with one of the day’s real heroes
Mum Kerry, 44, said: “Toby walked straight up to a security area and said he wanted to show the King his plate.”

The brave move paid off, and led to a heart-warming exchange with the royals.

Toby spoke to Charles about his great-grandfather Raymond Holden, who landed on D-Day with HMS Mackay.

The King told him: “We should never forget those who fought for us.”

Meanwhile, Ellie Mae said to Camilla: “I love you, you’re my favourite Queen ever.”

She replied: “You’re a beautiful little girl.”

Also there was Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte, and the French President wanted to capture the sweet moment.

Kerry said: “He grabbed the phone from my husband, he said ‘give me your phone boy’, then took the pictures with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

“We literally have President Macron’s fingerprints on my husband’s iPhone.”

Kerry, from South Woodford, East London, attends the commemorations every year, and her kids hand out plates they make.

She said she was “extremely proud” of them.
