On Sunday, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky suffered a 70-62 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, dropping them out of WNBA playoff position for the time being.

With 23 seconds remaining in the game, Reese needed one point to record her tenth straight double-double and break the WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles in a single season.

While she was at the free-throw line, ESPN captured her mother’s reaction, which is going viral with nearly 500,000 views on social media.

As the former LSU Tiger stepped up to take a free throw, her mother, also named Angel, appeared nervous. However, after Reese made her free throw, her mom seemed relieved that it actually happened.

Reese finished the game with 10 points on 4 of 16 shooting and 16 rebounds. The Sky fell to 6-11 on the season and moved back to fifth place in the WNBA Eastern Conference standings.

Reese’s mother played college basketball for UMBC, where she had her No. 10 jersey retired. She later played professionally in Luxembourg. She raised her daughter in Baltimore, Maryland.
