I’m A Celebrity presenters Ant and Dec have been best friends for over 30 years but have now revealed they are no longer “joined at the hip”.
Ant and Dec opened up about how their relationship has changed in recent years
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have revealed that their inseparable bond has seen changes in recent times due to their home life.
After meeting as youngsters on Byker Grove in 1990, their friendship blossomed rapidly, leading them to host a myriad of programmes together including SMTV Live, CD:UK, and high-profile events like the Brit Awards.
The Geordie duo have gone on to present some of the UK’s most popular shows including Britain’s Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway, and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
Despite their packed schedules keeping them together, the duo admitted they now spend all their time with family once they’ve finished work.
Ant welcomed his first child with Anne-Marie Corbett in May 2024, while Dec is kept busy by Isla, six, and Jack, two – his children with wife Ali Astall.

The presenters admitted they’re no longer “joined at the hip”
Ant told The Sun: “The kids take up a lot of your time, and we rush home to our families to see them when we finish working.”
Meanwhile Dec noted the gradual change in their dynamic, mentioning that they used to be fixtures in each other’s daily routines but it has not been the same over the last “five or six years” as their lives have drastically changed.
Their relationship may have somewhat evolved, but the essence remains the same as Dec quipped: “We still meet up on days off to have a game of golf or go out for dinner.”
He added: “We’re just not joined at the hip…”
Ant and Dec returned to screens on Saturday night (January 4) with a new series of Limitless Win.
During the show, players answer questions in a bid to win as much money as they can, with no limit to the amount of cash they can have in the pot.

Ant and Dec returned with a new series of Limitless Win
Despite the nail-biting programme, the new series failed to impress some viewers as many struggled to understand the format.
One viewer admitted: “I will watch anything @antanddec are on, but just can’t get into #LimitlessWin.”
A second wrote: “I’ve gone off this show now I see it sponsored by Adobe.”
Another complained: “Find this boring. Sat night TV is dire now Strictly has finished. Waiting for North Shore to start. We need more good dramas. Too many game shows.”
A fourth fumed: “This is an awful show, how long did they stretch out the leek question?”
