Insiders say that while Prince Harry is keen to make a return to the UK, Meghan fears she would be heckled by crowds if the pair visit the Royal Family.

Prince Harry is “anxiously” planning a “month-long” trip to the United Kingdom to visit his family without Meghan Markle, insiders claim.

The 39-year-old is said to be keen to “reconnect” with the Royal Family. And a month-long trip would help him spend more time with his father, King Charles, and aunt Princess Anne.

They say it would also give him an opportunity to meet his friends back home. However, with Meghan set to officially launch her American Riviera Orchard brand this summer, the insiders say she is likely to remain in the United States.

Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit life as working royals and moved their family to Montecito in 2020, Meghan has only sporadically returned to the UK. Harry meanwhile has visited solo, most recently for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Speaking to Closer, a source said: “Harry is going to have to return to the UK solo as it makes sense for him to take a longer trip. He’s convinced that if he spends a longer period of time there, he’ll have a better chance to reconnect with his family.”

The insider say there is “talk of a month” where Harry would be in the UK and Meghan back in the US with children Archie, five, and three-year-old Lillibet. They say Meghan is “respectful” of Harry’s desire to return home to his family, but has “too much on her plate” to visit.

They also claimed Meghan “fears she would be heckled” should she return to the UK. Meghan recently finished filming on her Netflix cookery show as well as preparing her brand launch.

Harry however is said to be keen to mend his relationship with his family. It is said his explosive memoir Spare, the Netflix series the Sussexes filmed, and the interview with Oprah Winfrey strained their relationship with The Firm.

The insider said: “Harry is very anxious to go home and see his dad, catch up with his friends for his birthday in September and also pay a visit to his aunt, Princess Anne.”

While Harry remains estranged from his family, he did make a 26-hour flying visit back home after learning the King was diagnosed with cancer. He also attended the coronation last May without his immediate family.
