A body language expert has revealed ‘highly sensitive’ Dean McCullough could soon quit the ITV show, after being chosen by viewers to face three Bushtucker Trails in as many days.

The Radio 1 DJ, 32, who also paired up with GK Barry for one challenge earlier this week, has quit every one which has even annoyed host Ant McPartlin, who later apologised for his unprofessional behaviour after fans clocked his ‘furious’ reaction.

Teaming up with Mecca Games expert Nicole Greenfield-Smith said: ‘If Dean flunks many more trials, it could leave him susceptible to walking.’

‘Firstly, Dean and GK Barry in a Bushtucker Trial proved to be a disastrous combo – even though they went in with the best intentions. We all have ‘mirror neurons’ which enable us to connect and empathise with others’.

‘This means we are highly sensitive to the mood, tone of voice and body language of those around us. So, if we hear someone screaming and panicking it intensifies our own fear, which is exactly what happened with the hapless duo and why they left the trial with zero stars.’

Expert Nicole Greenfield-Smith said: ‘If Dean flunks many more trials, it could leave him susceptible to walking.’

‘If Dean continues to be selected for trials and lets his fear dominate, it’s likely that some of the other campmates will lose patience with him for not delivering the goods’.

Going on to say: ‘Our brains are wired for social connection and cooperation. Disappointing others can trigger feelings of rejection, shame, or guilt, which may well tip Dean over the edge.’

Nicole also concluded that Corrie favourite Alan Halsall’s patience already seemed to be waning pointing out his many ‘side glances, sighs and subtle gestures that suggest disapproval’.

Viewers noticed that during Thursday’s show, Ant was ‘lowkey mad’ at Dean for ‘not trying properly’ in his first two trials and so urged the radio host to ‘try harder’.

Ant addressed his reaction during an appearance on spin-off I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked, saying: ‘My annoyance came across on screen and I was quite unprofessional. You get to the point where you’re like what are you doing?’

As Dean arrived at his third trial in three days, Ant and Dec ran through the rules of Lethal Lab, adding he will be joined by cockroaches, crickets and mealworms, giant lizards, snakes and spiders.

Ant said: ‘Now Dean, I want to have a word with you. What happened yesterday? No stars. What happened the day before? You said I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. You can only change the narrative by stick with it and getting on with it.’

During the very stern chat, Dean said to Ant: ‘I feel like I’m being told off by Ant and Dec.’

Dec chipped in: ‘I’m good cop’, while Ant added: ‘He’s [Dec] very carrot and I’m very stick.’

‘Not Ant telling Dean off’, Ant can’t be arsed with Dean’, ‘Ant deffo hates Dean’, ‘ant is not holding back with dean’.

Dean called ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ half way through the trial after getting spooked from fish guts.

After spiders on his head, snakes around his neck, green ants in his arms and cockroaches around his head, but it all got too much for Dean when fish guts smothered the back of his neck.

Dean had two minutes to complete an experiment, which will be worth 2 stars, in the experimentation area.

He then had to make his way through seven different containment areas, where a further eight stars were up for grabs.

Dean told Ant and Dec: ‘I like to overpromise and underdeliver.’

During the first experiment, he had to combine both a green liquid and a clear liquid into the test tube together to create a chemical reaction.

Half way through the trial, he said: ‘This is not looking good boys.’

As he successfully created a chemical reaction by combining the two liquids, he won two stars for camp and moved on to the containment areas.

After winning two more stars in containment areas one and three, he then moved onto area five.

As fish guts poured into the compartment, Dean immediately shouted: ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’

Talking to viewers after the trial aired, Ant said: ‘What the b***** h***, he only gets four stars and they pamper him. It’s not good is it, he literally got four out of ten!’
