BBC Breakfast viewers were left raging after witnessing a live report on the snow that has fallen overnight around the country.
BBC Breakfast viewers were left panicking after a presenter reported live in the freezing cold snow at 6.17am.
Yunus Mulla spoke to the camera in Harrogate to describe the chaos the snow around the country was causing, including Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham Airports being forced to close.
Yunus told Ben Thompson and Rachel Burden: “It is snowing and quite heavily and has been for the past couple of hours.
“It is settling as you can see around me, a huge blanket of snow covering Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Two amber warnings and expect disruptions, and we have had a few tech issues ourselves.
“If you’re looking to venture out onto the road, you can see what drivers will be facing because of the advice. There is the possibility they could get stuck, and people should carry blankets and food and that kind of thing.

Yunus warned of travel disruptions across the country
“We are facing a disruption across the country. Some communities could be cut off,” as he explained that some footballs games have been cancelled, as well as some airports being closed.
But the segment sparked concern as fans saw the reporter standing in the snow, as one fan raged: “BBC MUPPETS ARE REPORTING FROM SNOWBOUND ROADS!… TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE FKWTS!”
Another swiped: “Thank god we have a news reporter standing in the snow in Yorkshire to tell us it’s snowing.”
A third chimed in: “Dont make unnecessary journeys,” in reference to a famous interview where a reporter was hit in the face with a sign during a live report in a storm.
A fourth chimed in: “Don’t worry, Schools are back tomorrow, so I’m sure your editor has found a school to report “ live “ from.”
A fifth asked: “Why would you go out today unless you had no choice?”
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC1 and iPlayer.
