As Wynne Evans finds himself at the centre of another Strictly storm, he has been warned about his future on the show.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Wynne Evans has been issued a stern warning as he fends off yet another controversial incident on the BBC show.

The Welsh opera singer, who is proving to be one of the show’s most controversial contestants following the infamous “hand-swatting-gate” where his pro-dancer partner Katya Jones was caught on camera swatting his hand from her waist, has faced viewers’ wrath after being saved from getting the boot on Sunday.

Wynne found himself in the bottom two along with competitor Shayne Ward and his partner Nancy Xu but was saved by Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas leading to much viewer consternation.

The saving, which many have slammed as unfair as Shayne and Nancy were sent home, has seen Shirley under fire from fans. It has led to Wynne being warned about his future on the show.

“As we see Wynne and Katya waiting for the result, Wynne has his hands behind his back,” Darren Stanton, a former police investigator turned body language expert who used his expertise in interviewing suspects, tells Express.co.uk about Sunday night’s nail-biting dance-off results.

“It comes across as the couple feeling distanced and emotionally separated,” added Darren, on behalf of Betfair Slots. “Wynne is suppressing his feelings, he doesn’t want to show any ounce of vulnerability.”

The expert then issues a stark warning. “While he has been saved, this could be one of his downfalls and lead to future consequences. For couples to go a long way in the competition, they need to accept their flaws and mistakes to build on their strengths.”

On Sunday’s results show, the former X Factor winner Shayne and Xu performed a rumba to “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper, while Evans and Jones danced an American smooth to “Grace Kelly” by Mika.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse voted to save Ward and Xu, while Anton Du Beke backed Evans and Jones. With the deciding vote, Shirley chose to send Ward and Xu home.

On his exit, Shayne, 40, said: “I just want to say, you guys up there (the other contestants) are a dream. Every single day, coming in here and seeing you guys, you helped me so much. I want to say thank you to the audience as well, for always being amazing for us all. This has been, honestly, one of the best things I’ve ever done.

“I’m proud that I made it to eight weeks as a novice dancer. A massive thank you goes to this incredible human right next to me (Xu), who has put so much fire in me and made me believe that I can actually achieve more if I let myself go.

“I’m sorry it didn’t work out to the end, but I’m super proud that I got to meet you (Xu) and dance with you, so thank you.”

Xu added: “I’m beyond proud of this dance partnership. Shayne from week one until this point, every second you put your feet on the dancefloor you improved yourself.”
