Henry Ruggs is on the move.
Former Las Vegas Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison for a November 2021 drunken driving crash that killed a Las Vegas woman and her dog.
Ruggs had been under house arrest with alcohol and location electronic monitoring devices since pleading guilty in May to one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the crash that killed Tina Tintor and her dog, Max.
Those days are over.
Ruggs III was moved to a correctional camp in Northern Nevada as he serves his prison sentence for a deadly DUI crash. He was initially held at High Desert State Prison near Indian Springs when he began his sentence this past August.
In November of 2021, Ruggs was driving drunk and reached speeds of 156 mph just seconds before crashing his Chevrolet Corvette Stingray into Tintor’s Toyota RAV4. It was reported that Tintor was all alive and screaming as she burned to death in her mangled car.
A blood draw about two hours after the crash revealed that Ruggs’ blood alcohol level was 0.161 — more than twice the legal limit in Nevada.
Ruggs was the Raiders’ first draft pick after they arrived in Las Vegas. He was taken 12th overall in 2020 and played 20 games for the franchise.
The Raiders cut Ruggs the day after the crash. Ruggs could be eligible for parole after three years.
