The Las Vegas Raiders have hit a major snag in their search for a new offensive coordinator as top candidate Kliff Kingsbury has decided to withdraw himself from consideration.

The former Arizona Cardinals head coach, who spent the 2023 season as a quarterbacks coach with the USC Trojans, was reportedly set to take over the OC position in Vegas and work under new coach Antonio Pierce. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that, according to Kingsbury’s agent, Eric Burkhardt, he won’t be joining the AFC outfit.

This should come as a huge blow to the Raiders given that Kingsbury is considered to be one of the best offensive minds in the game.

As to why he changed his mind, we can’t say.
