Is Jaire Alexander on his way out of Green Bay?

Back in 2022, the All-Pro cornerback and the franchise agreed to a deal that would tie him to the team through the 2026 season. Although he is under contract with the Packers, the team does have an out at the end of this season. They would save $39M over the next 3 years.

On Instagram, Alexander posted a series of pictures with a caption that seemingly suggested his time with the team has come to an end.

The Packers cornerback made major headlines in December after he was suspended one game by the team when he made himself a captain and nearly cost Green Bay a chance to receive the ball at the start of either half with his coin toss request before a win over the Panthers.

The Packers elaborated on Alexander’s suspension in a statement citing “conduct detrimental to the team.”

When he correctly called the coin flip, Alexander said they wanted the defense on the field, which was different than outright deferring. LaFleur labeled it a “big mistake” while Alexander downplayed it and got suspended for it.

Due to injuries, he only appeared in seven regular season games while racking up 27 total tackles and one forced fumble.
