Britney Spears finally spills the beans about her two-week fling with Colin Farrell in her highly-anticipated memoir The Woman In Me, which hits shelves next Tuesday.
The 41-year-old Grammy winner originally met the 47-year-old Oscar nominee through a ‘club promoter friend’ before visiting him on the set of his 2003 movie S.W.A.T. and things got steamy pretty quick.
In her memoir, Britney likened their ‘passionate’ fling to a ‘street fight’ and says they were ‘all over each other’.
‘Brawl is the only word for it – we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight,’ Britney wrote in an excerpt obtained by TIME.
Spears then attended the premiere of Farrell’s movie The Recruit where he told reporters: ‘We’re not dating. She’s a sweet, sweet girl. There’s nothing going on — just mates.’
Hitting shelves next Tuesday! Britney Spears finally spills the beans about her two-week fling with Colin Farrell (L, pictured in 2003) in her highly-anticipated memoir The Woman In Me
The Mississippi-born singer admitted she was still not over her three-year relationship with Justin Timberlake, whom she had met on the Florida set of The Mickey Mouse Club in 1992.
‘As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet,’ Britney wrote.
‘For a brief moment in time, I did think there could be something there. The disappointments in my romantic life were just one part of how isolated I became. I felt so awkward all the time.’
Spears also detailed in her 288-page tell-all that the 42-year-old Grammy winner slept with ‘six or seven girls’ in the weeks after their 2002 split: ‘He was a girl’s dream. I was in love with him.’
The semi-retired pop star – who received $15M for the book – also claimed Justin pressured her to have an abortion when they got pregnant at age 19.
On July 24, The Sun claimed that both Timberlake and the handsome Irishman’s attorneys threatened legal action, which wound up delaying Britney’s book for four months.
‘Lawyers demanded to see her book in advance and were adamant that some of the revelations were removed,’ a source told the outlet.
‘There are still plenty of gobsmacking tales but Justin and Colin were conscious about what could be said about them. The legal process meant the publication was held up by four months as discussions went back and forth about what could be included. But that has finally now been settled and her autobiography is all ready to go.’
The Woman In Me – which has already topped Amazon’s Best Seller’s list – will not include any details about Spears’ split from third husband Sam Asghari, who filed for divorce from her on August 16 after 14 months of marriage.

The New York Times critic Leah Greenblatt wrote in her review published Thursday that ‘it’s nearly impossible to come out of it without empathy for and real outrage on behalf of Spears.’
‘As freely confessional and often furious as it is, The Woman in Me isn’t quite the blazing feminist manifesto that some witnesses to history may have wanted Spears to write, nor the kind of granular, completist portrait-of-an-artist autobiography that others have dutifully supplied in the past,’ Greenblatt wrote.
‘It could be argued, though, that she never stopped telling us who she was — in loopy hand-held videos on Instagram and, naturally, in her vast catalog of songs, with their lyrics about loneliness and emancipation, desire and defiance.
‘It’s only pop, after all, and Britney did more than most to make it bigger and shinier and more bedazzling — a blond supernova dancing at the edge of what feels a lot, from this vantage point, like the last gasp of monoculture. Now maybe we can let her live.’
On Thursday night, the Hold Me Closer hitmaker shared yet another solo video of herself modeling in her $11.8M Calabasas mansion but, this time, she showed off her dress-making skills.

Spears then added a ‘P.S.’ asking her fans if it was ‘too early’ to have a fully-decorated Christmas tree inside her palatial living room.
The former Mouseketeer’s latest clip was set to Cardi B, Bad Bunny, and J Balvin’s 2018 hit I Like It.
