The harrowing medical scare has ‘put everything into perspective’ for the separated couple
TEDDI Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave’s ‘hostility’ from their ongoing divorce has been put on pause as the RHOBH star recovers from brain surgery, a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
The couple has been leaning on each other after Edwin was apparently “terrified” of losing his wife and the mother of their three kids – however, there are still no plans for them to rekindle.

Teddi, 43, continues to remain under close medical care at a Los Angeles hospital following major surgery last week when doctors discovered several tumors on her brain.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum announced to her fans that she would need immediate surgery to remove the larger masses – which doctors believed had been growing for at least six months.
She also said that there are multiple smaller tumors that will be treated with radiation at a later date.
The harrowing health battle has been one of the most “painful” experiences Teddi has gone through, a source told The U.S. Sun.

BRAVE BATTLE Teddi Mellencamp’s recovery after brain surgery ‘could be a years-long fight’
HORRIFIC ORDEAL Teddi Mellencamp’s family gives emotional update after brain tumor surgery
“Teddi has gone through a lot before but this is the most painful ordeal she and the family has had to go through.
“She’s being the strongest woman, well because she’s strong, but also for her kids. She has been their rock even though she’s going through this.
“Edwin has been helping too, he and Teddi put all their hostility aside for now to get through this as a family and do what’s best for the kids.
“There was a moment where he was terrified of losing her. It really put everything into perspective,” the insider claimed.

Despite the couple being on seemingly good terms following months of difficult times during their nasty separation, there are “no plans” of getting back together as a couple.
“There will always be love, they will always do what’s best for the kids. But none of this is a sign they are getting back together.
“Edwin’s primary focus is Teddi’s health right now and taking care of the kids,” the source claimed.
As the accountability coach continues to recover, doctors have warned that it could be a long road ahead.
A source told The U.S. Sun: “Doctors have told her this will be a long-term recovery process.
“The recovery length is dependent on a lot of ‘to be determined’ factors but doctors have been upfront this could be a years-long battle.
“In terms of the ‘normal’ she was before the surgery, that can take 6 months to a year minimum.
“She is going to need physical therapy to relearn how to use certain motor functions, including fully learning to walk again, and that will be for at least a few months.”
According to the Duke University School of Medicine, patients who undergo brain surgery experience three various timelines of recovery – post-surgical which are the immediate days after the procedure, the healing and rehab stage which occurs in the following months and the long-term recovery, which is a complex years-long process.
The center states that in addition to physical therapy, some patients who have endured brain surgery also need occupational therapy and speech therapy.
Despite the hardships, the source said that Teddi is staying “determined and optimistic” and will “work harder than anyone to get back to where she was.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Teddi and Edwin’s rep for comment.’
On February 13, Teddi shared a somber photo of herself at the hospital with a shaved head as she revealed her medical condition.
The daughter of John Mellencamp stated in an Instagram post: “Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.
“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believed had been growing for at least 6 months.
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today – the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.
“Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”
