Chris Hemsworth has used his social network to offer support to a friend who has recently learned that her cancer is terminal.

Chris worked with the 28-year-old woman, Natalie Fornasier, while filming his new National Geographic series Limitless.

In a touching post on Instagram, the Thor star, 39, paid tribute to the Sydney woman’s courage.

He told his millions of followers that Natalie, who appeared in the sixth episode of Limitless, was, unfortunately, not doing well.

‘I, like so many of you, continue to be moved by her story and even more impressed with her positivity,’ he messaged.

‘Natalie is a person who displays perpetual grace in the face of adversity; she is kind, selfless, and brave in how she continues to tell her impactful story openly.’

Suffering from a melanoma for the last eight years, Natalie shared to her stories earlier this month that doctor’s had told her that the cancer was terminal back in July.

Meanwhile, Chris, with Natalie’s permission, said he wanted to share her most recent posts.

The Hollywood legend said he hoped that Natalie’s, ‘strength, perseverance, and dignity inspires you today – and every day.’

Natalie’s shares are a deeply moving account of her journey with the disease.

‘Every day for the past four months I’ve cried and screamed,’ she shared.

‘It’s not easy to admit that I’m dying. At 28 years old… everything about it feels wrong.

‘The conversations I’ve had to have, the plans I’ve had to make, the places my thoughts have gone and are still going – none of it is natural. It’s painful.’

The posts also reveal that Natalie married her sweetheart, Alexander, in a palliative care facility.

‘Maybe because in staring down death every day for the past eight years,’ she shared, ‘I’ve been forced to know that life – every single minute of it – is borrowed time.

‘So let me leave you with this: live EVERY DAY. And just love as much as you can.’

In Limitless the Disney+ Originals, the National Geographic-produced show the Thor star travels across the globe to explore six different techniques to prolong his life: regenerating damage, maximizing strength, building resilience, shocking the body, supercharging memory and confronting mortality.
