TV fans might soon be offered too much Coleen Rooney content as it is being reported she is expected to be offered a huge £1 million contract to star on ITV shows once she exits the I’m A Celeb camp

Coleen Rooney will soon be embedded in ITV as it is being reported she’s signed a huge contract to star on the channel once she’s out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The 38-year-old mum-of-four who is married to footballer Wayne Rooney is already said to be the highest paid contestant on the long-running celebrity popularity contest – with her fee for the 2024 season reported to be more than the £1.5 million Nigel Farage was allegedly paid to star on the 2023 season. But reports are suggesting Coleen is picking up an extra £1 million to work with ITV beyond her bushtucker trials experience.

The star – who was famously unsuccessfully sued by Rebekah Vardy in a huge libel case termed Wagatha Christie – would soon be unavoidable on the ITV channels as she is tipped to join a lunchtime talk show and be granted documentary series of her own. And it is expected that this deal could path the way for her to host other projects and even revive her 2008 show Coleen’s Real Women.

It has been reported by a source: “Coleen is set to become ITV’s new golden girl. She loves the idea of returning to telly and feels that now is her moment, especially as she’s more mature and her kids are older. She won a legion of fans with the way she handled herself during Wagatha and viewers find her down to earth and relatable.

The source continued – talking to The Sun: “Coleen has always loved Loose Women and she’s said she would love to join as one of the panellists. She loves fearless, opinionated women like Jane Moore and would love to get involved and have her say on things. Coleen has stayed out of the spotlight for so long, some people might not think this would be the gig for her. But Coleen’s friends know her as someone sharp, intelligent and not afraid to speak her mind.”

The report goes on to suggest Coleen will be seen getting close to Loose Women star Jane Moore who is already a panelist on the show and suggests she would be smart to ask her for tips to land a role on the ITV lunchtime show’s panel. It also reports the WAG is hoping to overcome her own nerves and lack of confidence to boost her hopes of securing more TV work. The Mirror has approached a spokesperson of Coleen for comment while an ITV spokesperson dismissed The Sun’s report as “speculative”.

It is suggested Coleen wants to emulate the success of former Hear’Say star Myleene Klaas who was a contestant on the show in 2006. The singer went from being a national laughing figure due to her backfired band which was put together on a talent show, to becoming one of the nation’s most-loved presenters. As well as hosting TV and radio shows, Myleene has also built a successful swimwear company – which has been credited with success stemming from the memorable bikini-clad shower scenes that she generated during her time in the jungle.
