HAYLEY Palmer looked glamorous in a red carpet shoot last night after her split with The Chase’s Mark Labbett.

The couple broke up shortly after their first anniversary, which they celebrated with a trip to the beach in Southsea.

According to Hayley her ex ended things with her over a three minute phone call.

Now the presenter has put a brave smile on and stepped out in a silver sequined dress to watch the latest West End musical.

She shared the snap from her night out at Sister Act – starring Ruth Jones from Gavin and Stacey.

Hayley also made a subtle dig at her ex in the story, writing: “It felt really nice to get dressed up last night.

Doing things that make me feel good! I love a musical! You can’t beat a bit of Sister Act.”

Her caption suggested that perhaps what didn’t ‘feel good’ previously was her relationship with Mark.

She opened up about their split to the Sun, tearfully admitting: “The call started off as a normal conversation.

“He was spending time with his son and we’d had a conversation about me joining them at a water park.

“Then he said, ‘I don’t know how to tell you this, but you were right. I don’t want to divorce my ex-wife’.

“The shock of the way he said it was so brutally cold and not the Mark I know.

“I thought he was a gentle giant, so this was the complete opposite. He was as cold as ice.

“The phone went from my hands, I just hung up on him.

“I ended up walking around for three hours not knowing where I was going.

“I’ll never get over the shock of that, I’m still in shock now.

“It’s such a hurtful way to do it.

“If he had said, ‘Can we meet up? Can we talk about things?

“This is my situation and I just don’t think it’s going to work out’, then we could have worked through it.

“Or if that’s what you really think then we could have ended on nicer terms, because we’d had such an amazing year together.

“I would have respected his decision if he’d come to me.

“The fact that he didn’t have the respect for me, and for him to do it over the phone — it was a really low move.

“I can’t get that voice out of my head — the way he said it to me.”

They planned to cover everything from Mark wooing Hayley with his Toby Carvery card to dating in the public eye, shopping trips, their big rule of not sharing chips and hilarious inside jokes.

May 25, 2024 – Mark broke up with Hayley over the phone, saying he wasn’t ready to finalise his divorce with his ex wife Katie.
