When Britney Spears checked herself into a mental health facility last week, suffering from severe emotional distress over her father’s ill health, the pop star must have left her luxurious Italian-style mansion on the outskirts of LA in a hurry.

Aerial photographs of the property, which she bought for $7.4 million in 2015, show that while her extensive water features have been switched off, little else has been done to prepare the property for her absence and she wasn’t expecting to be leaving for a prolonged period of time.

Toys remain floating in the once-sparkling pool and the cushions on loungers are scattered haphazardly around the deck lie in the beating sun.

While 37-year-old Britney is known to have a fleet of gardeners, the once jewel-green grassed areas are slowly beginning to brown, despite a winter full of rain in Southern California.

Sources close to Britney, suggest she left Los Angeles several weeks ago to be by ailing Jamie’s side in her home state of Louisiana after it was announced he was suffering from complications following two surgeries to correct “serious issues” with his colon and spleen.

Jamie, 66, has served as Britney’s conservator over her financial, medical and career affairs since she was hospitalized in 2008 and deemed legally incapable of taking care of herself.

“Sam’s focused on his modeling career and his gym routine,” says a well-placed source. “He hangs out with his friends, playing soccer and meeting them for lunches. He never talks about Britney.”
