Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders fans poked fun at Patrick Mahomes by bringing Kermit the Frog costumes and puppets to Sunday’s game at Allegiant Stadium.

During training camp, the Raiders poked fun at Patrick Mahomes and his “Kermit the Frog” voice putting a wig and miniature jersey on a puppet. The Raiders mimicked his voice and laughed hysterically in a moment that was bound to age poorly.

Well, get this: Fans on both sides brought Kermit costumes and puppets to Allegiant Stadium during the game. Even a Kansas City supporter decided to don a full-sized Kermit costume at the game:

When Patrick Mahomes was asked about it during training camp, he calmly stated that the matter would be “handled when it gets handled.” Four months later, the three-time Super Bowl champion gets the chance to make the Raiders pay for their mistake.

Patrick Mahomes Has Owned The Raiders

Heading into Sunday’s contest, the two-time league MVP has a 10-2 record against the Raiders. The two losses came at Arrowhead (2020 and 2023), but the Chiefs went on to reach the Super Bowl in both seasons anyway.

The Raiders should know better than anybody that you can’t poke the bear if you don’t back it up. So they better find a way to pull off the upset today.
