Bill Belichick of New England Patriots looking on.

Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has landed another prominent analyst gig ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

In January, Bill Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced that they were parting ways after 24 years together. Belichick, who coached the Pats from 2000 to 2023, led the franchise to nine AFC Championship wins and six Super Bowl titles.

Surprisingly, the greatest head coach in NFL history was passed over in the 2024 NFL HC hiring cycle. As such, 2024 marks the first year he won’t be employed as an NFL coach since 1974, when he was only 22.

On Thursday, the CW Network announced that the 72-year-old Belichick will appear on their popular “Inside the NFL” program with former NFL stars Ryan Clark, Chad Ochocinco and Chris Long.

CW Network president Dennis Miller gave the following statement on Belichick joining their program, per NFL.com:

“Bill Belichick joining Inside the NFL is a true game-changer for this storied franchise and The CW. Not only is he one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history, but his knowledge and passion for football is truly unmatched. Fans will now get the chance to hear his insights and better understand the nuances of the game from the master himself. We cannot wait for Bill, Ryan, Chad and Chris to deliver a championship-caliber show all season long.”

This announcement comes two months after it was announced that Bill Belichick will also be on Peyton and Eli Manning’s popular “ManningCast” program for ESPN “Monday Night Football.”

In 2021, Bill Belichick won a Sports Emmy for his contributions on the “NFL 100 All-Time Team.” Working alongside Rich Eisen and many NFL legends who were named to the team, Belichick provided excellent in-depth analysis of the players and their impacts on football.

Bill Belichick Should Be Back In Coaching Next Year

Surprisingly, the Atlanta Falcons were the only team that interviewed Belichick for their head coaching vacancy. The NFC South team ended up hiring Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, who served as their interim HC during the 2020 season.

Bill Belichick may not have been hired this year, but he’ll surely be at or near the very top of teams’ wish lists next year. He’s the most accomplished head coach in history, and nobody can match his genius and IQ on the defensive and special teams departments.

So enjoy Belichick in front of the cameras while you have him, because this will likely be a short-lived NFL coaching hiatus.
