BBC bosses are reportedly scrambling to conclude the investigation into Giovanni Pernice’s alleged behaviour towards Amanda Abbington.
Giovanni Pernice promised his fans that there are “better days to come” as the investigation into his alleged misconduct is nearing its conclusion.
The BBC launched an investigation into the Italian dancer after his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Amanda Abbington made several accusations against him.
The duo were partnered together in 2023, however, their time in the competition was cut short when the Sherlock actress abruptly quit just five weeks in.
Amanda, 50, said Giovanni’s alleged behaviour was “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean”. Giovanni has denied all accusations against him.

Turning his back on the controversy, Giovanni has been enjoying a sun-soaked getaway and is now celebrating his birthday in style.
Taking to Instagram, Giovanni wrote: “30+4 today !! thank you so much to all of you for the messages… I do appreciate your love and your endless support! Better days to come and exciting news to share with you very soon. love you all, Gio.”
Meanwhile, back at home, BBC executives are reportedly scrambling to conclude the investigation into Giovanni’s alleged misconduct, with an official announcement expected soon.
Bosses allegedly want to finalise the probe before the new series of Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on September 14. A source told The Sun: “The BBC is under huge pressure to get this probe done and dusted before September 14 when the new series kicks off.
“It’s a ticking time bomb to get it done in time while not leaving any stone unturned. All evidence has been reviewed, and it is looking like we are now days away from an announcement.
“Clearly the BBC are desperate to draw a line under all this and move on. But whatever the verdict it is clear there will be more questions for the corporation to answer and potentially even more historical complaints.”
The source claimed that there was a WhatsApp group where some BBC staff are eagerly waiting to discuss the outcome.
They went on: “While the BBC, of course, would like to rule in Giovanni’s favour — a man they resolutely stuck by — it is not necessarily in their express interest to do so in case they poke the bear — in this case disgruntled celebs or ex-Strictly workers. They are walking a tightrope.”
Giovanni was dropped by the BBC as they launched their investigation, with the professional dancer not included in the Strictly Come Dancing line-up for the first time in nine years.
