Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be set to spend their time living between both the UK and the US after reports claimed the Duke of Sussex has been house hunting

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly making plans to split their time between the US and the UK and expert has claimed.

Reports earlier this week stated that Harry has been looking for a home in the UK that he and Meghan could use for visits instead of checking into a hotel every time he visits. Now a former employee of King Charles has claimed that the plans could mean that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are hoping to move closer to Harry’s family.

Former Royal Butler Grant Harrold has admitted that Harry and Meghan living between the US and the UK would fall in line with their “original” plan. He said: “If Harry does buy a place in the UK, he and Meghan will live here for part of they year and part of the year in the States, that was the original idea.”

Talking to the New York Post Grant added: “I would assume that this would mean Meghan would also be coming to the UK and you’d see them spending so many months of the year here.” However, Grant did admit that he can’t see Meghan wanting to be in London permanently.

He continued: “I don’t see Meghan wanting to be in the UK permanently — I think that was the whole idea of why they went out to the States in the first place, I can believe that Harry would like to be back here, he loves the UK. He had an amazing upbringing here, he loved living here and I remember that.”

Grant – who was speaking on behalf of Spin Genie – worked for Charles for seven years when he was the Prince of Wales. The news comes after it was reported that Charles is keen to spend more time with his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Charles reportedly wants to see more of Archie and Lilibet

Reports have been rife that the King is hoping to build a relationship with son Prince Harry’s children who he has met just a couple of times. The monarch has now expressed his desire to spend some time with the two youngsters amid his cancer battle, sources report.

Charles is reportedly frustrated that currently he only gets to see Archie and Lilibet on occasional video calls and wants more of a relationship with them. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla is reportedly encouraging the efforts to boost their bond after Charles reportedly sent Lilibet a “heartfelt gift and card” for her third birthday earlier this month.
