The film follows Willis as a washed-up private investigator who teams up with a disgraced football star to uncover a potential conspiracy. Berry, who was still carving her path in the industry, portrayed the role of a stripper, Cory. And she later expressed feeling overlooked and unnoticed by her co-star.

Halle Berry reflected on her experience working with the 69-year-old actor Bruce Willis in the 1991 film The Last Boy Scout. The Oscar winner, who was in her initial years in Hollywood, was excited about starring in the same film as the Die Hard star.

“I was so in awe of Bruce Willis and being on a big fancy movie like that,” she told Black Film in an interview. However, despite starring together in the same film, she also felt disappointed by the lack of acknowledgment or interaction with her co-star. She said,

“‘He didn’t even know I was alive in that movie. I don’t even think he looked me in the face. He probably doesn’t know we worked together. He didn’t noticed me back then.”

The 57-year-old actress also reflected on how her collaborations with Willis reminded her how anything is possible. By the time, they once again shared the screen in Perfect Stranger, Berry was well-known in the industry and had even won an Oscar for the 2002 film Monster’s Ball.

“Working with him now reminded me on the absurdity of life on how you can go from one extreme to the other within the same life — Just because you are in one place doesn’t mean you can’t go wherever your mind can imagine.”

While The Sixth Sense star was unable to notice his co-star in their first film together, after starring in their second film together, he confessed to having a crush on Berry.
