Former Las Vegas Raiders wideout Henry Ruggs was moved to a correctional camp this week, which comes five months after he was sentenced to a 3-to-10-year prison sentence.

Ruggs pleaded guilty to driving drunk at 156 mph and crashing into a car killing 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog. The crash happened in November 2021. Prosecutors had said Ruggs’ blood-alcohol level was 0.16, which is twice the legal limit.

According to Nevada Department of Corrections records, the former NFL pass catcher was transferred to Stewart Conservation Camp in September. This camp “houses minimum custody and community trustee inmates in five dormitory type units,” per the NDOC website.

Ruggs was once considered a key member of the Raiders offense and he was earning millions per year.

Those days are long gone as a report suggests that his current job working for government offices at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center pays him $2.50 per hour.

The Las Vegas Raiders picked Henry Ruggs in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. As per Spotrac, he signed a four-year, $16,671,626 contract with the team. He also had a $9,684,820 signing bonus and $16,671,626 in guaranteed money.

The wideout was released by Las Vegas not long after his drunken fatal accident.

The earliest that he can be released is by Aug. 2026. He is eligible for credit for time served as part of his work program.

In the 2021 season, Ruggs had 24 receptions, 469 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in seven games. He has started all seven games in Las Vegas and led the team in receiving yards.
