Travis Kelce standing next to Patrick Mahomes


Travis Kelce dropped a major hint regarding his future after helping the Kansas City Chiefs punch their ticket to the Super Bowl with a win over the Ravens on Sunday.

Kelce caught 11 passes for 116 yards, scoring a touchdown in the 17-10 victory.

 

The tight end shared some words with teammate Patrick Mahomes during the celebrations on the heels of the result and, with cameras catching his suggestion that he could be around for a while following this season.

“I could do this for another 11 years,” he was heard saying.

The 34-year-old has been the subject of retirement rumors for some time now as it’s being claimed that this season could be his last. He lent fuel to the speculation earlier in the season when he revealed that his body was struggling to keep up with the demands of being a top player in the NFL given the many surgeries he’s had to undergo over the years.

While he has poured cold water on talk that he could retire, it’s done nothing to slow the claims, especially given recent revelations pointing to what he plans to do after he leaves football.

Of course, Kelce won’t play for another 11 years, but it appears he plans to stick around for at least a few more seasons.
