Duchess Meghan Offers Rare Insight Into Archie and Lilibet’s Favorite Hobbies
The Sussex kids are growing up so fast
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have officially touched down in Nigeria, where they kicked off their trip with a visit to the Lightway Academy in the capital city of Abuja.
Along the way, the couple offered some rare insight into life with their two kids, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, two.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met with students aged two to five years old in a kindergarten class, where they participated in a game of “Jump Up, Turn Around.”
“Is singing and dancing your favorite class?” Harry reportedly asked one student after the dance. Meghan added, “That’s Lili’s favorite class. Maybe it’s all the jumping around.”
Later, the couple headed to a science and mathematics class to meet with students who were crafting robot cars. Harry asked the group, “Who enjoys electronics?” Meghan then revealed that Archie is also a fan of construction.
Meghan and Harry’s visit to Lightway coincided with the school’s inaugural mental health summit, a two-day event hosted by the nonprofit GEANCO Foundation.
While speaking with a group of students about the importance of mental health, the duchess told a touching story about Lilibet.
“Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys. She’s about to turn three,” Meghan began. “And a few weeks ago, she looked at me and she would just see the reflection in my eyes. And she [said], ‘Mama, I see me in you.’ Oh, now she was talking really, literally. But I hung onto those words in a very different way. And I thought, yes, I do see me and you, and you see me and you, but as I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”
