JOEY Essex isn’t interested in “starstruck” Samantha Kenny and was left cringing over her Towie fan confession, says a body language expert.

The pair hit the rocks this week after Samantha grilled Joey over his TV past, including his time on the Essex based reality show and his appearance on Keith Lemon’s Celebrity Juice.

Many viewers have begged Joey to “run for the hills” after claiming that “fan girl” Samantha is just using him for fame.

Now, body language expert Darren Stanton believes that Samantha’s has given Joey the ick, thanks to her keen interest in his TV fame.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Darren Stanton says: “I don’t think Joey is that into her. She seems besotted, I think she’s ever so slightly starstruck by him more than anything.

“We don’t see any reciprocation with flirting.

“I don’t think he is playing hard to get, I think he’s just not interested.

“As I said, she’s far more into him, and he’s not that into her, based on the fact nothing is reciprocated.

“He might have a few little flirts and a bit of banter, but I don’t see that he is interested like she is as his body language comes across as quite dismissive.

“There are moments when he’s chatting to Samantha where he crosses his legs or sits with his arms crossed or wrapped around his chest.

“I don’t think they’re compatible.”

Joey has made his career off being “unintelligent” but Darren claims that it’s all just an act.

He explained: “Joey is quite an articulate guy, he’s not what people think he is, I don’t see anything happening here.

“The comment Samantha made about watching TOWIE all the time, he looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up.

“You’ll notice he avoided eye contact with Samantha and bit his lip.

“This is a self-pacifying gesture we make when we feel uneasy.

“I don’t think Joey takes himself that seriously.

“She seems more attracted to him because he is on the TV, but I didn’t see any reciprocation of what is known as interpersonal attraction from Joey.”

It comes after a recent episode where Samantha asked Joey to “name drop” celebs.

But it left Joey feeling uncomfortable and he refused to speak about it.

Later on, the duo clashed when Joey said he doesn’t want a woman to be with him just because he’s famous.

Samantha wanted to gain some clarity on her connection with Joey and pulled him for a chat.

The Liverpudlian said: “I’m not being funny or nothing but you are Joey Essex so I know what girls are like, do you know what I mean.

“They’re going to go ‘oh Joey Essex is in there so they’re going to be like, right, let’s get on Joey Essex’.

Unsure what to make of Samantha’s observation, Joey looked bemused as Samantha quipped back: “They are Joe, I’m not stupid.”

Joey then told Samantha: “If someone is with me for that reason, because I’m Joey Essex, that’s not for me, I promise you, that is not for me.”

Samantha asked: “Well what do you think about me, do you think I’m like that?”

Joey expressed that he doesn’t want to be with a girl who likes his status.

Some fans think producers need to alert Joey to Samantha’s red flags before it goes further.

One wrote: “Joey basically called Samantha a fan girl lmao.”

 

A second posted: “Samantha is obsessedddddd with the fact that Joey is famous.”

“Samantha trying to warn Joey about gold diggers while she is the gold digger he should be worried about,” a third said.
