I’m A Celebrity 2024 star Jane Moore accused two of her co-stars on the ITV show of being ‘#sexist’ during Sunday’s show

She found herself at the centre of a heated spat between two of her I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here co-stars a night earlier and, on Sunday night, Jane Moore ignored a row of her own, as she fired ‘sexism’ accusations in camp.

Before her name had even appeared on the confirmed line-up for the new series of the ITV show, Loose Women star Jane was made the outsider to win and the frontrunner to be kicked out first, Having flown largely under the radar in her first week on I’m A Celebrity, the 62-year-old unintentionally found herself in the middle of a clash between Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall, when Coronation Street actor Alan woke up BBC radio host Dean to go and help her collect wood.

And, after that argument divided viewers, Jane was back in the spotlight on Sunday, with her accusing Barry McGuigan of being both ‘sexist’ and ‘ageist’ when they put her on washing up duty, alongside Tulisa. Barry and Danny had been tasked with assigning jobs for all of their co-stars, following a viewer vote that made them the new Camp Leaders.

On being told that she was on washing up, Jane accused the pair of being sexist, given that her and Tulisa replaced two of their female counterparts who’d been given the same role days earlier. When boxing legend Barry tried to reason with Jane, saying he didn’t ‘want a 62-year-old carrying all the water’, she shot back: “So you’re ageist and sexist!”

Defending himself, Barry told Jane that her gender ‘didn’t come into it,” as she maintained that she’d been given the one job she didn’t want, while Tulisa took on the role with a lot less opposition. In the final part of the episode, Jane, while claiming she was only winding Barry and Danny up, remarked: “It feels like the 1950s,” as GK Barry joked: “Welcome to this new life Jane!”
