A FORMER teammate of Michael Jordan has said the famous NBA player had a work ethic for the ages.
The teammate is also one of NBA’s all-time greats, Hubert Davis.

Like Jordan, Davis starred for the North Carolina Tar Heels prior to his NBA career.
An All-SEC Second-Teamer in 1992, Davis was drafted 20th overall by the New York Knicks that year.
By this time, Jordan was already a certified legend of the game.
Since entering the league with the Chicago Bulls in 1984, MJ had already won two NBA titles, been named MVP three times, and been named an All-Star for each of his eight seasons to date.
Hubert ultimately came face to face with Jordan during the postseason of his rookie campaign, where his Knicks fell short against the eventual NBA Champions.
Their paths would cross again throughout the remainder of Jordan’s career, and to say he left his mark on Davis would be an understatement.
“A lot of the guys ask me, ‘What was the most difficult player to ever guard?’ And I always tell them it was Michael,” Davis said during an appearance on MSG PM with Monica McNutt and Kazeem Famuyide, as per 247Sports.
“There were three guys that I played against in the NBA that were most difficult — one was Michael, two was Kobe Bryant, and the other one was Allen Iverson.
“The reason being these guys, especially Michael — he was the only guy that I’ve ever played with that didn’t take a break on any possession on both ends of the floor.
But while Davis and Jordan may not have represented the Tar Heels together, they did play side by side during the 2001 season.
Jordan, who had been retired and working as the Washington Wizards’ president of basketball operations during the previous two seasons, unretired for a second time to play two more years in 2001.
Davis, meanwhile, was also on the back nine of a career that had seen him play for the Knicks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Toronto Raptors.
Their season together was Davis’ second and last in Washington, but it seems he loved every minute of his time with Jordan.
“I was so thankful that I had an opportunity to play with him one year with the Washington Wizards and just have firsthand knowledge in the practices and games — all of the hard work and preparation that he put in to be the best basketball player ever,” he explained.
“So it was great playing against him, and it was even better playing with him with the Washington Wizards.”
Davis subsequently moved to the Detroit Pistons, finishing the 2003 season with the New Jersey Nets before retiring.
After two more All-Star appearances, Jordan retired for good after the 2002 season.
