Coleen Rooney has addressed an apparent ‘£1 million TV deal’ and shut down accusations of having a ‘plan’ during her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle.

The mum-of-four finished in second place in Sunday’s final of the ITV show (Dec 8), where it was revealed that McFly’s Danny Jones was the new King of the Jungle.

Having reached the final alongside Rev Richard Coles, who came in third place, and Danny, Coleen took on two trials with her fellow finalists and managed to walk away with a full house of stars, rewarding them with a lavish three-course meal of their choice to mark their final night in the jungle.

After leaving camp and awaiting to hear the result, Coleen, 38, spoke to Ant and Dec about her fellow campmates. She said: “The whole camp was – everyone was from different backgrounds, had different life stories, but as a group, we were all open, and we could relate to each other in different ways.”

On Monday (December 9), Coleen appeared on Good Morning Britain to speak to hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid about her time in the famous jungle.

Speaking about why now was the right time to do the show, she told the presenters: “I felt ready to give it a go. It was a challenge to take myself away from my family, and I don’t regret anything now after coming out.”

Coleen was then quizzed on her ‘plan’ for the jungle, with Richard asking: “When you went into the jungle, was it part of the plan to open up and let them see you as the person you really are?.”

She then responded: “No. I went into the jungle with no plan. I went in for myself and not for anyone else. What you see is what you get, and I think even my campmates were surprised.

“I think they thought ‘she lives in a nice house, she’s used to luxury’, but I don’t mind getting stuck in I’m a mum of four boys as we said, we go on walks, we go into ponds and we get dirty.”

Richard then asked if there is any truth in today’s headline in The Sun newspaper which reads ‘Col’s £1m telly deal’, Coleen responded: “Well that’s news to me… Apart from speaking to Wayne and my boys, I haven’t seen anything and I don’t intend to until I get back into the UK.”

She then added: “I’m looking forward to Christmas, and then in January I will sit down with my team and see what I am going to do going forward.”
