Deion Sanders got the last laugh after some critical comments from former United States President Barack Obama, who took a swipe at Colorado ahead of their fixture vs. Arizona on Saturday.
The Buffs continue to surprise their critics and are now 5-2, which means they have officially outdone last season’s campaign in just seven games, having finished 4-8 in Coach Prime’s first year.
Their defense, pass protection, and running game appear to be much improved. But there’s hardly any doubt that their best players are Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.
Be that as it may, Colorado now looks pretty well-rounded and will attract a little more respect from opposing teams over the course of the next five games. However, Obama took a dig at Sanders’ team before Saturday’s game, suggesting that they only have two good players.
“I know Colorado’s got a couple good players, but I also know you guys have beaten them twice in a row,” he said while on the campaign trail in Tucson, Arizona last week. “So, don’t bet against the Wildcats tomorrow.”
Of course, he turned out to be wrong, as the Buffs beat the Wildcats pretty convincingly, playing out to a 34-7 scoreline.

Deion Sanders Speaks His Mind On Barack Obama’s Comments
Sanders addressed the ex-POTUS’ jibe after Saturday night’s win and was full of laughs.
“Let me go out and underscore this too: President Obama is everything to me. I love him, I admire him, I respect him tremendously. But. I heard what he said. President, I heard what you said, man. Like, come on, come on,” Primetime said in front of reporters.
“That’s why I really don’t get into politics. I’m into people because politicians are — they play the political game, and he was here and had to play the political game.”
“So they have two good players? We have more than two good players. But you’re here, so you had to support that. And what’d he say? They won the last three meetings, two meetings? Something like that. He did his homework. Somebody gave him some great statistics. But President, come on, man. You my man. I love you. I appreciate you. But come on, dawg.”
The Buffs are scheduled to play the Cincinnati Bearcats in their next outing and will hope to add another result to the wins column after their dominant performance.
Let’s see who Obama picks.
