Katy Perry has spoken out on juggling parenting and her career, admitting she can no longer party after a gig now she’s a mum.

The star, who shares daughter Daisy, three, with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, said it’s shameful to be hungover with your kids.’

Speaking at the final show of her debut Las Vegas residency at the weekend, the singer explained: ‘I was crazy in my twenties but now I have a toddler who wakes me up at 6.30 whether I am hungover or not.

‘It’s shameful to be hungover with your kids. I just hear, “Wake up mum let’s watch Minions”.

‘Now I am 39, if I drink more than two drinks then the next day… bad times. I am reevaluating my whole life the next day.’

Katy continued by pointing out her respect for artists like Pink who regularly take their young children on the road with them.

The Sun report that she said: ‘I have never done a tour or a show before being a mother and I want to say I now have a new found respect for all the mums out there who do it.

‘They are raising kids, taking them to preschool, doing the sandwiches and partying. You guys are rock stars. I am so glad I joined you.’

The doting mum dedicated a song to her daughter, who was sat in the audience with her dad for Katy’s final Vegas show.

‘My next song is Daisy – this is your favourite song,’ Katy told her daughter. ‘We play it all the way to preschool. I love you so much. You’re my best friend and I am so glad you’re here.’

While she performed to an excited crowd, her fiancé danced with their delighted daughter in the audience.

The Gran Turismo actor was seen bouncing three-year-old Daisy while her mother sang Chained to the Rhythm in a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Her tot, who was dressed in a Minnie Mouse costume, wore headphones to protect her from being disturbed by the loud music during the rare public appearance.

At one point, she gushed about how her man is ‘an incredible support system’ and ‘an amazing father.’

Additionally, she reflected on how she ‘created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove.’

‘When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever searching for finally showed up. She made me whole, and she healed me, and she showed me how to play again,’ she raved. ‘So this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we would be free.’

Katy, 39, has been performing in her residency at the Theater at Resorts World since December 29, 2021.
