Annie Kilner has reportedly filed for divorce from Kyle Walker, two years after the couple said ‘I do’ following the ongoing scandals surrounding his infedelities

Kyle Walker’s wife has filed for divorce.

After years of heartbreak, Annie Kilner, who is Kyle’s childhood sweetheart, has met with divorce lawyers after the Manchester City ace found himself involved in another scandal. It comes after Annie was left furious and humiliated to discover Kyle had fathered two children with wannabe reality star Lauryn Goodman behind her back, despite recently saying they were focusing on their own family.

Loyal Annie had taken the disgraced footballer back after his first affair, but struggled to keep up appearances after he went behind her back for a second time with Lauryn. Annie discovered Lauryn’s second child was her husband after she was sent a devastating text on December 27, while she was pregnant with her fourth baby with the defender. In the message, Lauryn said: “Hey it’s Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.” Shortly after Goodman confirmed the paternity of Kinara, one, Annie and Kyle briefly separated. Lauryn fell pregnant with her daughter after a brief romp with Kyle when he was in London for surgery.

Now, sources claim it is finally over for the couple who met while at school and Annie isn’t holding back as she’s gearing her lawyers to allegedly for fight for half of Kyle’s whopping £27 million fortune. Reports claim that Kyle and Annie are no longer on speaking terms and the England national team vice captain has also instructed his own legal aids. It’s believed that Kyle was served the papers by Annie ten days ago and has been sleeping separately from his wife for a number of days, despite being in the same home.

“Kyle was stunned when he got the papers,” a source told The Sun. They added: “He’s spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps. This doesn’t necessarily mean they will divorce. She wants Kyle to know she’s not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire.”

A source told MailOnline : “She is divorcing Kyle because she just can’t forgive him for what he’s done to her. She can’t get over it. She has tried. Kyle seems to have accepted it’s over. He’s been happier in the last week or so. Like the weight of the world ‘s been lifted from his shoulders.” Despite the turmoil in his personal life, Walker appears to be keeping them to the back of his mind after he was spotted on a golf course in Cheshire on Tuesday, appearing to not have a care in the world.

But Annie recently shared snaps of herself on Instagram, posing at the wedding of Taylor Ward and Kyle’s former teammate Riyad Mahrez, taken in July this year. In the snaps, Annie’s huge wedding ring was on full display as she posed with Dawn Ward’s daughter and a group of friends at the idyllic venue.

It comes following reports that Annie had been secretly plotting to cash in on Walker’s fame “for years” after telling pals that she “made him.” In bombshell texts seen byThe Sunbefore the pair tied the knot, Annie is said to have fumed: “It’s the same old s***t, he’s been doing it for 10 years,” referencing Kyle’s cheating.

I helped to make him what he is.” Sources at the time said that while Annie married Kyle for love, she also had to do it to “secure a financial windfall for herself and their children.” Sources have previously told the Mirror that Annie was seeking advice from fellow WAGs on the Cheshire scene following the drama she has endured while dating and being married to Kyle.

Sources previously claimed that Annie has been involved in several discussions about separating from Kyle for good. “Annie is prepared to go through with it. She isn’t messing about and has spoken to lawyers about what the future looks like,” the insider explained. They added that divorce has been an “ever-present threat” hanging over the couple since news of Kyle’s second lovechild broke, “but things are starting to come to a head”.

But earlier this year, the pair appeared to be looking towards the future, with a source close to the now estranged couple telling the Mirror that they were putting his infidelities in the past and were concentrating on their own family. Kyle had previously been booted out of the family home in Cheshire after admitting to his mistakes. Kyle has previously admitted his regret at hurting Annie due to his extramarital affairs. He said: “What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions.”

Speaking previously to the Mirror, a source said: “Annie and Kyle are looking forward to a resolution of the whole situation and hope that this latest chapter brings them just that.” It comes after Kyle was hurled in front of a Royal Courts of Justice about the two children he shares with Goodman.

Our source went on to add: “All they want is to work on their relationship, in private, to see what the future holds for them and their young family but have been unable to with the glare of the media – often led by Lauryn. Kyle has taken responsibility for what he called his ‘idiotic choices’ and will always provide for Lauryn’s children financially.”

Goodman, however, was not the first person Kyle cheated on Annie with. In 2016, he was caught messaging former Playboy model, Carla Howe while at the Euros. Just one year later, Kyle romped with Ex On The Beach personality Laura Brown in his lavish Bentley, causing Annie to boot him out of the home. Speaking to the Sun, Laura said: “We drove to a back street where he parked up and we got into the back together.” When asked for proof about the romps by Annie, Laura sent her a picture taken inside their family home. At the time, Laura denied knowledge that Kyle was in a relationship and only discovered the bombshell when he shared a Mother’s Day tribute to her.

He was later sent packing again when it emerged Lauryn was pregnant with her first child, Cairo, four. But ultimately, they got back together again. Kyle found himself in the firing line again when he confirmed he breached national coronavirus lockdown restrictions after engaging in a sex party with two sex workers at his rented flat in Cheshire. He apologised for letting his family, Manchester City and the general public down.

But despite his wrongdoings, Kyle and Annie went on to tie the knot in November 2021 in an intimate and private ceremony, held at Mottram Hall in Cheshire. But in January this year, Annie confirmed that she and Kyle were taking a break from their marriage after Lauryn’s paternity bombshell.

Despite Annie standing by Kyle throughout his scandals, it appears that things became too much for her during his High Court battle with Goodman. During the family hearing, it emerged that Kyle had been paying huge sums to the social media influencer. He upped her housing budget to £2.4 million after she threatened to move to within ten minutes of his family home in Cheshire. Kyle also splashed out for £48,000 worth of wardrobes and a media screen. He also paid £52,164 for curtains and a blind for Goodman’s home with their two children.
