As most royal nerds and Californians already know, a little more than a week ago, it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left Canada to move to Los Angeles.
And according to a source, the reason for this seemingly sudden change of location was because Meghan and Harry “realized Canada would not work out for various reasons and they want to be based in the Los Angeles area. They have a big support network there…Meghan has lots of friends there and, of course, her mum, Doria.”
However, a new report in The Sun says Meghan hasn’t seen her mom since moving to L.A. even though they live “just 10 miles away.” But of course, it’s not because Meghan and her mom have any issues but rather because Meghan and Harry are carefully self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic. A source shares:
“Meghan is absolutely heartbroken—after all, one of the main reasons she decided to live in L.A. was to be near her mum. Because of her age, Doria obviously has to be careful and Meghan and Harry are sticking rigidly to all formal guidelines when it comes to coronavirus. They’ve been WhatsApping and FaceTiming almost daily but obviously it’s not the same.”
And while it’s hard for all of us to self-isolate from family and friends amid the pandemic, it’s one of the best ways to keep everyone safe. So kudos to Meghan and Harry for setting a good example and helping to protect their community.
“If she comes there will be a huge amount of adverse publicity because of the way she has acted for the past four years. On top of that, you have the issue of Archie and Lilibet — who are completely blameless.”
Fitzwilliams also said now that the Sussexes lost their bid for taxpayer-funded UK security protection would also be an “excuse” not to visit.

Fitzwilliams also said now that the Sussexes lost their bid for taxpayer-funded UK security protection would also be an “excuse” not to visit.
“The security would be decided on a case-by-case basis, they would make sure the trip was secure from the point of view of the UK,” he continued. “I think security could be used as an excuse not to come though.”
“Meghan has every right to come but they have been thrown out of Frogmore and for a good reason,” Fitzwilliams added.
“Spare and the interviews around it were horrible frankly. She has the perfect excuse not to come over because Harry has lost his security case.”
The Waleses have had a years-long rift with the Sussexes, but it was recently reported that the pair may be looking to bury the hatchet once and for all.
