The Lakers had another hero who led them to the In-Season Tournament victory on Saturday night

LEBRON James has added an interesting twist to the NBA GOAT debate.

The 19-time All-Star hilariously compared his Los Angeles Lakers teammate Austin Reaves to the Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan, asking who had a better “flu game” after the In-Season Tournament victory.

Reaves, 25, felt under the weather before the Lakers’ 123-109 win over the Indiana Pacers in the IST championship game on Saturday.

Still, he clocked over 27 minutes off the bench, scoring 28 points on 9-for-15 (60%) from the field and registering two rebounds and three assists.

His performance caused James, 38, to recall Jordan’s famous flu game in the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz, during which MJ scored 38 points while dealing with sickness and dehydration.

As Reaves spoke to the media in the locker room, the four-time NBA champion could be heard yelling: “Who had the better flu game: AR or MJ?! It’s up for debate!”

The 6-foot-5 guard didn’t want to comment on his teammate’s remark.

“I’m gonna let LeBron keep talking and I’m gonna continue to talk about the game,” Reaves said.

LeBron’s comment did prompt all sorts of reactions on social media, though.

“BRON MY GOAT,” one NBA fan wrote.

“Reaves clears MJ tbh,” another said.

“Jordan fans ain’t gonna like this one,” a third added.

“Wow yeah, LeBron disrespect shows he could never be goated,” one wrote.

James had 24 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals against the Pacers.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis, 30, erupted for 41 points on 16-for-24 (66.7%) from the field.

The 6-foot-10 forward also collected 20 rebounds and dished out five assists in one of his best games in a Lakers jersey.
