Bronny underwent successful surgery over the summer and is now set for a crucial medical exam.

NBA legend LeBron opened up on his eldest son’s progress following the Los Angeles Lakers 108-107 loss to the Miami Heat on Monday night.

James said: “Things are going in the right direction with Bronny’s progress.

“He’s doing rehab. Every week he gets to do more and more and more.”

And LeBron revealed that Bronny’s crucial scan at the end of this month could determine his future career.

James continued: “We have a big moment at the end of this month to see if we can continue to go forward.

“If he’s cleared, we’ll be not too long away from him being back on the floor and back with his teammates and practicing, with the notion of being back on the floor and playing in game situations.”

Bronny was spotted on the bench as No. 21 USC beat Kansas State 82-69 on Monday night.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound guard committed to the Trojans earlier this year after months of speculation.

Per ESPN, before his health scare, Bronny was projected as a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA draft.

LeBron has already dedicated his 21st season in the NBA to Bronny.

He said: “Everything is on the up and up.

“We’re proud of his progress, we’re proud of his strength.”

Seven games into the 2023 campaign, LeBron is averaging 25.3 points per game and is shooting 56 percent from the field.
