If there were an Oscar for “Best Portrayal Of Exactly What Gay Men Want To See”, it would go to Kill Your Darlings director John Krokidas for not allowing Danielle Radcliffe to shave before his gay sex scenes.

The hyped indie flick is having its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this week, where Krokidas sat down with Daily Xtra to chat about Radcliffe’s role as Alan Ginsburg and the gay sex scenes that were “not at all challenging” for him to act in. Of course they weren’t.

Krokidas went on to say his gay sex scenes are better than others because, well, he’s gay:

“The one thing wrong with a straight man directing a film about gay characters—a.k.a. Brokeback Mountain—that sex scene, I’ve never had it quite happen the way it happened in that scene and if anything, what we wanted to get right for cinematic history was to depict it as honestly and emotionally and physically honestly as possible.”

Not to mention the fact that the scene was much better because “no grooming or personal body trimmers” were allowed on set. We get chills just thinking about it.
