Chris Hemsworth is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood. In 2002, he started his career in show business by appearing in several TV series. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Kim Hyde in the Australian soap opera Home and Away. Marvel Made a Mistake Regarding Chris Hemsworth’s Thor

Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is usually known for its foolproof plot and storyline, it made a mistake once in Avengers: Infinity War regarding Thor’s age. Soon after Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor meets the Guardians of the Galaxy for the first time, he tells Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon that he is “1500 years old”. This has led to fans staying confused for years even though it is concrete information about the superhero.

If Thor was 1500 years old then it would not be possible for him and Loki to be kids in 965 AD when Odin fought the Battle of Tønsberg, an event which he recounted in the first Thor movie. In the new book Marvel Studios’ The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline, Marvel Studios admitted to a continuity mistake.

In the 2018 section of the book, Miss Minutes points out Thor’s incorrect age and blames Loki‘s Casey at the TVA for the blunder (via The Direct), saying:

“Why, hello! Thor says he’s 1500 years old, but wasn’t he just a baby around 696 CE? I’d have an answer for y’all now, but Casey just spilled coffee all over the mainframe, bless his heart.”

While this does not solve the issue at hand because MCU has merely used Miss Minutes and TVA’s Casey to avoid the question, hopefully, Marvel will have an answer about Thor’s true age and relieve fans from their confusion.

The MCU is one of the world’s most beloved and highest-grossing franchises, thanks to the evergreen charm of the superhero genre and the dedicated fans of Marvel Comics. However, there are some great directors such as Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino who have been rather harsh about the Marvel films.

The criticism of the Marvel films was obviously upsetting for many people. This included Chris Hemsworth. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said:

“I’m thankful that I have been a part of something that kept people in cinemas. Now, whether or not those films were to the detriment of other films, I don’t know. I don’t love when we start scrutinizing each other when there’s so much fragility in the business and in this space of the arts as it is.”

Hemsworth clarified that both Scorsese and Tarantino are two of his favorite directors and he would jump at any chance he is given to work with them. Everyone has their own opinions so the actor is obviously just staing his like others.
