Barbie and Oppenheimer, the 2 most anticipated movies of the year were released in the theatres last week and the world was not left disappointed at all. With Greta Gerwig’s on-point jokes in the movie Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s incredible cinematography and flawless storytelling in Oppenheimer, the movies are continuing to win the hearts of fans all around the world.

Although both movies were released recently, they have already grossed more than $400 million combined globally. A fan decided to take the opportunity to mock Marvel’s insane budget for films and took to Twitter to point out the difference between the production cost of Thor: Love and Thunder and Barbenheimer.

Marvel spends a lot of money on its movies and the movies usually do not turn out to be a box office bomb. A fan recently took to Twitter and pointed out the huge difference in production cost between Thor: Love and Thunder and the currently trending movies. The fan pointed out that the production budget of only the Thor: Love and Thunder movie was allegedly more than the combined production cost of Barbie and Oppenheimer.

According to sources, the production budget for the Thor: Love and Thunder movie were almost $250 million and the production budget for Barbie and Oppenheimer was almost $145 million and $100 million respectively.

Even the combined budget of both the movies was not enough to meet the production budget of one Marvel film and fans went on to criticize Marvel and Disney for making mediocre movies despite having bigger production budgets.

After learning that the production cost of Thor: Love and Thunder was more than that of Barbenheimer. Fans went on to criticize Marvel for Thor: Love and Thunder for its screenplay and inconsistencies. One fan even accused Marvel of just being a front for ‘money laundering‘.

Some fans even went on to mention that Barbie and Oppenheimer were far better than Chris Hemsworth‘s movie.

One fan joked that Marvel uses a large chunk of its production budget to get the rights to Guns N’ Roses songs.

Barbie and Oppenheimer were released in theatres globally a few days ago and have already got an impressive box office collection so far. According to sources, Oppenheimer has allegedly grossed almost $174 million at the box office. Surprisingly though, Barbie has done even better than Christopher Nolan’s movie at the box office as Greta Gerwig’s movie has made almost $337 million at the box office as of yet.

Both Barbie and Oppenheimer are currently playing in theatres.
