An ex-royal staffer claimed Meghan Markle would not be returning to the UK permanently in the future apart from one occasion.
Meghan Markle will be not coming back to the UK to live permanently, as the Duchess of Sussex is “too much of an American girl”, according to an ex-royal staffer.
The Duchess married into the Royal Family in 2018, however, her stay was in the UK was shortlived as she moved back to the US 20 years later, when she and husband Prince Harry stepped down as senior working royals.
Harry and Meghan live in Montecito, California, where they are raising their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
And while sources have claimed the Sussexes will likely be spending their Christmas holidays in the US, increasingly more royal watchers have delved into whether the couple will ever come back to the duke’s home country, either permanently or for the festive period.
Grant Harrold, a former royal butler, speculated that the duchess will likely not come back to the UK to live permanently but could come back for the Christmas holidays sometime in the future.

Meghan Markle was dubbed ‘too much of an American girl’ by an ex-royal staffer
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, he said: “I just think Meghan’s too much of an American girl, she doesn’t want to be in the UK permanently.
“I can see her coming over for the holidays and having time over here, but living here permanently? I just don’t see it.”
Mr Harrold, who served as King Charles’s former butler from 2004 to 2011, added that contrary to his wife, Prince Harry is more likely to return to his home country and live permanently.
He claimed: “Whereas Harry, I do see it. I think he could be open to returning, although I do think it’s highly unlikely.
“As I always keep saying, never say never. ”
The Sussexes left the Royal Family in 2020
It comes after a royal author claimed Meghan “never wants to set foot” in the UK ever again, following her sensational departure from the Firm in 2020.
According to Omid Scobie’s bombshell book, Endgame – released last year – the duchess “never wants to step foot in England again” as she “never really felt at home” while in Harry’s home country.
Mr Scobie, who’s been dubbed “Meghan’s mouthpiece” several times, claimed that the Duchess “never wants to be involved in the British monarchy again”.
