Global fame and a loyal fanbase are not the only things that Michael Jordan has gained in his entire career. The NBA legend has also amassed an immense wealth of $2 billion. Thanks to his business acumen and brilliant decision-making skills. It’s not a surprise, then, that MJ owns one of the most expensive private jets.
Back in 1985, MJ shook the entire world with the launch of his first sneaker line. Yes, the major sponsorship deal with Nike. One of the greatest business deals ever made in the history of sports. He signed a $2.5 million deal with the brand. The following years saw him work with some of the biggest brands, such as Gatorade, McDonald’s, and more.

But there is just something very special about his jet that might be able to connect the Air Jordan enthusiasts.
Michael Jordan’s most luxurious collection
Alongside his impressive collection of expensive and rare cars, MJ also bought a luxurious yacht for a whopping $80 million. And the list goes on.
He is a businessman and always in need of reaching places without much hassle. And a private jet just serves that business purpose. Befittingly, MJ acquired the Gulfstream g550 worth $62 million. However, in 2017, he gave an interesting makeover to his private jet. With that, the price of the jet is sure to soar past its original value. And if you’re ever fortunate enough to come across the jet, you will recognize the jet as being his.
Air Jordan served as an inspiration for MJ’s private jet
Jordan kicked off the renovation of the jet with fresh novel paint. Previously, the Gulfstream g550 flaunted a brilliant powder blue and white paint. The color is sure to remind you of the North Carolina jersey. Now the plane boasts a white, gray, and black wrap.
Wait, there’s more. As you take a closer look at the plane’s engine, you will notice the number N236MJ. A little decoding shows that the number 23 stands for MJ’s jersey, 16 for the number of titles he’s won, ending with his initials. With space to fit 16 passengers and an ultra-luxurious interior, the jet can travel distances of up to 12 hours without stopping.
