Earlier this month, three Kansas City Chiefs fans went to a friend’s house to watch a game and then two days later, their bodies were found in the backyard of that Kansas City home.

Police identified the three victims as 38-year-old Ricky Johnson, 36-year-old Clayton McGeeney, and 37-year-old David Harrington. They were found dead in their friend’s backyard two days after watching the Kansas City Chiefs’ last regular season game before the playoffs began.

So, what happened? When did it happen? How did it happen? The families of these young men want answers.

Jordan Willis’ attorney claims that his client was sleeping while those three men were hanging out with a fifth person.
“When he would have people over at his house, yes sometimes as people, they get tired, they’re people that are very close to you and you feel comfortable going to bed and allowing them to leave when they want to leave,” John Picerno said, via Fox 4.

The homeowner, who has not been charged and has been cooperating with police, says 37-year-old David Harrington, 38-year-old Ricky Johnson, and 36-year-old Clayton McGeeney froze to death.
“They were in the backyard. He doesn’t use that particular door. He goes out in the front. And so, he had no knowledge that they were out there until, you know, Tuesday when he was told that they were out there,” attorney John Picerno told NewsNation host Dan Abrams.
Picerno insists the homeowner “didn’t have anything to do with their deaths.”

One man’s body was found on the back porch of the NW 83rd Terrace home, while the other two were discovered in the backyard.

Temperatures on Jan 7th and 8th mostly stayed in the low 30s, before plummeting into the teens on the afternoon of the 9th, according to Weather Underground.

Family and friends of the victims took to social media to rip the homeowner who invited his friends to watch the game.
“This man was inside his home alive while my friends were dead in his yard for lord knows how long,” Kaylee La Tier wrote in a Facebook post earlier this month.

“They were all hanging out since after the game Sunday. He KNEW people were looking for them. He read messages of people searching for him on Tuesday.”

“My husband banged on his door for 20 [minutes],” La Tier continued. “My friend banged on his door and then busted a window and yelled and announced her presence while she’s inside and still nothing from him? Then the cops come 10 [minutes] later and he comes out nonchalant in his boxers with an empty wine glass in hand??! Nothing is adding up. Dave, Clay and Ricky need and deserve justice.”
Picerno said his client was sleeping with headphones on next to a loud fan when people came looking for his friends and didn’t see a message from one of their wives until after police contacted him.

The man also did not think it was “unusual for his friends to have left their cars there overnight.”

Police stated there were no obvious signs of foul play in the men’s deaths. Fox 4 reports police still are waiting for the results of an autopsy on the three men. Willis has not been charged.
