A PLACE in The Sun host Laura Hamilton has broken her silence on her new romance.

The star, 42, was previously spotted smooching her married lover in the front seat of a car.

She is understood to be in the throes of a new romance with married business CEO James Pettigrew, 44.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the NTAs, Laura said: “I haven’t actually confirmed that!

“But the speculation is most definitely there. It does amaze me that there is this interest in my love life. I don’t know why.

“But all I’d say is I’m very happy, I’m enjoying myself and yeah I’ve got my two beautiful children

She continued: “My divorce was three years ago.

“We co-parent our children and all I’d say is ultimately when you split up, the children are the priority and it’s so common these days, so many people separate and as long as you can do that in a positive way for the children…

“My children are so happy, they’re at home right now, it’s all good.

“They travel with me a lot and in fact it is quite funny because on the way up here the assignment at school was to google a famous person that inspired you and he googled me!”

Laura added: “And he found all sorts of articles online! But he laughed about it.

“And then he said he was going to google himself. Rocco and Charlie have travelled with me since they were three weeks old.

“I just want them to be happy and do whatever they want to do, I support them.”

Laura, a mum-of-two, and James are believed to have been dating since January, according to reports.

It is the Channel 4 star’s first relationship since splitting from long-term husband Alex Goward in 2022.

However, the romance has reportedly blindsided James’ estranged wife Jackie.

James and Jackie share two children together but are now experiencing a “painful divorce”, with Jackie left “hurt and upset” by his new partnership with Laura.

A source told the MailOnline: “Laura has been dating James since January and they spend all their time together.

“While Laura has been single since splitting from her ex-husband, James is still married, and their relationship has caused his estranged wife Jackie a lot of hurt and upset.

“Laura and James have made every attempt to keep their relationship private but it’s been months and they’re so close now, they are fully committed to each other and making this work long-term.”
