Las Vegas Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams has been the subject of trade rumors over the past year, even though he’s made it clear that he’s content where he is.

Many wondered if Davante Adams would be traded amid a frustrating season for the Raiders. He expressed his frustration with the club numerous times, but a strong finish (5-4 under Antonio Pierce) cooled down trade speculation.

If the Raiders get off to another sluggish start in 2024, however, new GM Tom Telesco may feel inclined to trade Adams for future assets. And if the future Hall of Famer hits the trade block, there won’t be a shortage of teams interested in his services.

Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport compiled a list of eight blockbuster trade ideas. One of those proposals has Las Vegas dealing Davante Adams to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a 2025 first-round pick:

“The Rams admittedly don’t really need Adams—Puka Nacua was a revelation as a rookie, breaking a 60-year-old record for receiving yards by a first-year player. Cooper Kupp has struggled with injuries the past two seasons, but in 2021 he won the receiving “Triple Crown” –leading the NFL in receptions, yards and receiving scores.

Adding Adams to that mix would give Matthew Stafford the most dangerous trio of wide receivers in the league….Want to seriously threaten a loaded San Francisco 49ers team in the NFC West in 2024? This is the kind of move it’s going to take.”

Rams GM Les Snead has traded first-round picks for veteran stars like Jalen Ramsey, Matthew Stafford and Brandin Cooks. The first two played pivotal roles in helping Los Angeles win Super Bowl 56 three seasons ago, so it makes sense for LA to consider another blockbuster trade for a big-named veteran.

Despite lackluster quarterback play in Vegas last year, Davante Adams managed to compile 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. For his career, the 31-year-old has 872 receptions for 10,781 yards and 95 touchdowns.

Davante Adams Could Push Rams Over The Top

The Rams already have a nice offensive nucleus in Stafford, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams. Their defense has a great mix of young and veteran talent, namely Kobie Turner, Byron Young, Kamren Curl and rookie Jared Verse.

But adding an all-world offensive playmaker like Adams could be the move that gets LA over the top in the NFC. They won the Super Bowl with Kupp as their WR1, yet adding Adams would make the former the No. 3 receiver.

That would unquestionably put the Rams on par with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions as an NFC heavyweight and team to beat.
