NFL safety Tashaun Gipson Sr. has been suspended for six games due to his violation of the league’s policy pertaining to performance-enhancing substances.
Gipson, a free agent, spent the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and is looking for a new home after breathing new life into his career following a move to the Niners.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 33-year-old was determined to have violated the NFL’s PED policy and will miss the first six games of the upcoming 2024 season should he sign with another team.

Gipson became the starter at free safety for San Francisco after being signed for extra depth prior to the 2022 season and was brought back on a one-year deal worth $2.9 million.
He became a trusted leader in the team’s locker room as he served as a mentor for the young defensive backs and anchored the secondary.
