Caitlin Clark keeps being mentioned in the same breath as Team USA. USA Basketball women’s team bounced back after losing to Clark-led WNBA All-Stars over the weekend, with the Indiana Fever rookie dishing 10 assists in the 117-109 win.

Team USA defeated Germany 84-57 today to make a statement and show doubters that they aren’t done after just one game. It was their lone pre-Olympic exhibition game against another national team.

Following the game, plenty of fans congratulated the team for showing a different face against Germany, but others mentioned Clark, saying that she’s missed on this team.

Some fans said they didn’t watch the game in solidarity with Clark and other players.

“No Caitlin Clark so refuse to watch,” one fan said.

“I will not watch. I back the snubbed players,” another fan wrote.

A couple of fans said that the team needed a point guard like Clark, who could make people around her better.

“Watched the USA Women’s Team play against Germany. Like the men, the women’s team will have the most talent at the Olympics. They will win the gold. With that being said, they could use a point guard who pushes the pace, has great vision & makes everyone better! #Caitlin Clark,” one fan wrote.

“USA Women Olympics team just played today is like watching paint dry. Caitlin Clark is missed badly. Than you wonder why Women don’t make important decision,” another fan said.

More fans named other players that this team could have used besides Clark.

Coliп Cowherd says womeп’s basketball isп’t ready for Caitliп Clark

Veteran analyst once again called out the WNBA and USA Basketball for not giving Caitlin Clark the chance to represent the country in the Olympics. Speaking of her notable performance in the All-Star Game, Cowherd said:

“Caitlin Clark is not quite ready, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. And the more I watch Clark, the more I’m convinced women’s basketball isn’t ready

“One of her teammates scored 34 [Arike Ogunbowale] and Caitlin just kept feeding her the ball, and [she had] the most assists in the win, double digits assists in seven of her last eight games, despite the WNBA butchering her early schedule, snubbing her for the Olympics.”
