Pittsburgh has been named as a potential landing spot for a Pro Bowl quarterback this offseason.

Russel Wilson’s time appears to be over in Denver following his benching toward the end of the regular season, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up after a failed spell with the Broncos.

 

The Steelers are thought to be among possible destinations and it’s been suggested that the two situations could be great for each other, with Mike Tomlin’s side also experiencing lots of difficulty over the course of the campaign.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine has suggested that the Steelers are actually the best landing spot for the stricken QB as Wilson would get an opportunity to rejuvenate his floundering career while Pittsburgh would have a top option at the position following their struggles there.

There are going to be options, though. Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield are both heading into free agency while Justin Fields is expected to be on the trading block.

Still, Tomlin claimed that the team’s starter for next season is already on the roster while speaking to reporters at the end of Pittsburgh’s season.
