A royal podcast host believes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle show a “desperation to be taken seriously”.
A royal commentator claims Harry and Meghan are chasing contacts Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, show a “desperation to be taken seriously” which involves trying to create important contacts in the USA, a royal podcast host has claimed.
The royal duo now live in a Montecito mansion in California after stepping down as senior working royals in 2020. Podcast host, Kinsey Schofield, talking on Sky News Australia, said: “They [Harry and Meghan] try to align themselves with people like Governor Gavin Newsom [California’s Governor], Stacey Abrams, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former First Lady Hilary Clinton. They go out of their way to associate themselves with some of these people.”
Sky News host Rita Panahi agreed stating Prince Harry and Meghan’s current position was “a long way from the standing they once had”.
Rita also commented on the recent D-Day commemorative events which saw King Charles, Queen Camilla and Prince William mix with world leaders to send a strong global message.
Kinsey added: “I’m sure he sits back and thinks ‘I’ve given up a lot and now I’m chasing Netflix money’.”

King Charles and the Prince of Wales joined world leaders and veterans at a series of events to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Both royals made speeches in France on Thursday, praising the “bravery and sacrifice” of those who “served at that critical time”.
Charles embarked on his first overseas trip since being diagnosed with cancer, travelling across the English Channel for commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the 1944 D-Day Landings in Normandy.
Speaking in French, he thanked the people of France for their “warmth” and “generosity” towards D-Day veterans, which he said is the “most moving and memorable part of these anniversaries.”
The reigning monarch also only recently returned to public engagements after getting the green light from his doctors who were “encouraged” by his progress following his cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Harry and Meghan reportedly want to see seen at two major events
Meanwhile, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly facing a “challenge” securing invites to A-list events in the US, a royal expert claims, with two key ones they “want to be seen at”.
Speaking to The Mirror, Richard Fitzwilliams said: “The challenge for Harry and Meghan is to attend comparable events in the United States which are not focused on them.
“The Met Gala and the Oscars are the sort of events they would benefit from being seen at, since they have pretensions to be A-listers. Barack Obama’s 60th, held in 2021, the year they were in Time Magazine’s Top 100, is the sort of event they would undoubtedly want to be seen at but were not invited to.”
The Sussexes also missed out on one of the major high society events of the year last week, the marriage of Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, a close childhood friend of both Prince Harry and Prince William.
