Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s income from their lucrative deals have ‘seemingly dried up’ after a string of controversies, a Royal author has claimed
The King reportedly gave Harry a substantial sum despite the ongoing rift between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family
King Charles has reportedly given Prince Harry a “substantial sum” after the fallout from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell Netflix documentary, a royal author has claimed.
In his latest biography on Kate, the Princess of Wales, Robert Jobson suggests Harry and Meghan’s most lucrative days “seem to be behind them” after their explosive docuseries and Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare.
He claims the couple are now seeking ways to pay their bills that do not involve revealing more Royal secrets.
Despite the seemingly dwindling chances of reconciliation, the so-called “Harry problem” continues to vex the King, according to the expert’s piece in the Daily Mail. Palace insiders have suggested the King remains concerned about what will happen when the couple’s funds eventually dry up.
Mr Jobson further noted: “Harry, however, later claimed that his father told him there was ‘not enough money to go around’ for Meghan, because he was already having to pay for William and Catherine. Harry was furious, feeling that he and Meghan were entitled to lavish handouts from ‘Pa’ in return for agreeing to serve the Crown.”
It is said that Harry and Meghan’s most lucrative days ‘seem to be behind them’, according to Robert Jobson
“In fact, according to close sources, Charles ended up giving Harry a ‘substantial sum’ and did not cut him off financially.”
This bombshell revelation comes amid further insights into the King’s feelings about Prince Harry’s impromptu visit following the news of his cancer diagnosis.
After the 75-year-old monarch’s health scare was made public, Prince Harry immediately flew to the UK for a brief meeting with his father at Clarence House. It has been reported that the King was “unhappy” about his son’s sudden appearance, especially as it caused a delay while he and the Queen Consort were preparing to leave for Sandringham for his recovery period.
The King was reportedly kept waiting at Clarence House due to Harry’s last-minute drop-in, which apparently did little to mend their strained relationship.
